Our client , a care centre near Hindhead, Surrey is currently looking for a Catering Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and professional catering team, providing high-quality food and excellent service in a well-structured environment.
The Role:
As a Catering Assistant, you will play an essential role in the smooth operation of the catering department. From setting up & clearing down the dining areas, to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, your contribution will help ensure the highest level of service.
This Catering Assistant position offers a good hourly pay rate plus a fantastic enhanced pay rate of �18.32 per hour for weekends and bank holidays.

Hours of work:
*37.5 hours per week
*Daytimes
*5 out of 7 days per week
*Alternate weekends
Key Responsibilities:
*Serve meals to staff and visitors in a friendly and efficient manner
*Maintain cleanliness of dining and service areas, including washing up and stock rotation
*Assist in setting up and clearing down service areas and functions
*Assist chefs with food preparation, including handling fresh ingredients
*Operate basic kitchen equipment and follow health & safety procedures
*Handle payments of staff meals when required
The Ideal Catering Assistant will have/be:
*Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service
*Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
*A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
*Excellent customer service and communication skills
*Awareness of food safety, allergens, and hygiene standards
