CATERING & HOSPITALITY LECTURER

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Catering & Hospitality Lecturer to join our dynamic team at West Lancashire College. This role offers an exciting opportunity to share your industry expertise, inspire students, and contribute to the future workforce of the catering and hospitality industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, providing academic and pastoral support to students, and engaging in professional development activities to stay current with industry trends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching and Learning:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective teaching and learning sessions in catering and hospitality-related subjects, including, food preparation, service management, health and safety regulations, and customer service.
• Prepare and assess coursework, assignments, practical assessments, and exams in line with the curriculum.
• Utilize innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance the learning experience and engage students.
• Promote a hands-on learning approach through demonstrations, practical workshops, and real-world scenarios.

Student Support:

• Provide individual academic guidance and feedback to students, helping them to achieve their potential.
• Offer pastoral care and advice to students, ensuring they have the support needed to succeed in their studies.
• Monitor student progress and provide support where necessary, including offering additional tutorials or mentoring.
