Are you a dynamic catering professional looking for a new challenge in an educational setting? We have a fantastic opportunity for a School Catering Manager at a prestigious independent day school in Ealing, serving 1000 students. With a recently revamped menu and an exciting, diverse offering for breakfast, break, and lunch, this role offers the chance to lead a vibrant catering operation.

What's on offer:
Salary : Up to £46,091 FTE (£36,000 actual), including 5.6 weeks paid holiday.
Commitment : 35 weeks per year.
Hours : Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Operations : Lead and manage the school's catering operation including a main dining room serving breakfast and lunch, a sixth form café, events space and retail operation.

Responsibilities include:
Overseeing the catering services, ensuring high-quality meals and beverages are served.
Managing a team of supervisors, chefs, catering assistants, and events staff.
Developing innovative menus, including adventurous and traditional options for breakfast, snacks, and lunch.
Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
Handling budgets, stock control, and purchasing.
Collaborating with school staff and managing catering for special events.

What we're looking for:
Proven experience running large in-house catering functions (around 1,000 covers per day).
Strong people management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and empower a diverse team.
Experience in menu creation and catering for events.
Budget management and supplier negotiation experience.
A customer-focused attitude and a passion for exceeding expectations.
