Job Description:

As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other interventional procedures.

  • Operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.

  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and accurate information is provided.

  • Monitor patient vital signs during procedures and assist with emergency care as needed.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure documentation and post-procedure care.

  • Adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations to ensure patient and staff safety.

  • Stay current with advancements in Cath Lab technology and best practices.



Qualifications:




  • Certification in Cardiovascular Technology (RCIS or equivalent) preferred.

  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or related field.

  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in a Cath Lab or similar clinical environment.

  • Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and procedures.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
