CCTV Operator (six month contract)

Pay �14.00 per hour (36 hours per week)

Location: Walthamstow, East London

Our local authority client requires a CCTV Operator who holds a valid SIA CCTV licence.

Applicants require CCTV control room experience.

Based in Council offices, the successful candidate will be allocated shifts each week, working 36 hours per week.

There is an element of data entry work so computer skills are required for the position.

This is a six month, full time, temporary contract.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorised personnel are allowed entry.


• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, both indoors and outdoors, to maintain a secure environment.


• Respond promptly and professionally to alarms and incidents, managing situations with calm and authority.


• Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems.


• Communicate effectively using a radio with other officers and confidently handle phone calls with management, contractors, clients and the public.


• Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorised persons or unusual occurrences.
