We’re enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and br working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come. br br strong About the role /strong br br This is an exciting opportunity to be at the cutting edge of CCUS - carbon br capture, utilisation and storage. You’ll be involved in developing br innovation activities which will influence and inform the future direction of br the business, specifically around technology and selection. br br You’ll be the key contact for non-Drax entities related to pilot activities in br Drax Power Station’s Incubation Areas for CCUS. The role will involve br working with external contractors, consultants and other supporting br organisations to ensure they safe and cost-effective delivery of work br requirements. br br The role will also require you to build relationships and work closely with key br stakeholders across the Drax business, in relation to pilot installation, br operation and other work in the incubation area. br br You’ll be br responsible for project management and progress tracking work streams. It’s an br opportunity to help inform plans for strategic CCUS projects to manage risks, br develop new opportunities and innovative ways of working which focus on br mitigating business risks and generating maximum value. br br strong Who we’re looking for br /strong br If you have a background in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, br Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering, then you could be right for this role. Strong br experience in any of these areas is interesting to us, and we can support br development with the rest. br br You’ll also need experience br of working with pilots, or hands on experience of working on a plant or an br applied R&D facility. br br A deep br understanding of the execution requirements of complex projects is required to br help inform and shape the initial stages of the development process. You’ll br need to be comfortable giving advice and guidance on a wide range of subjects, br such as project delivery, technology options and risk profiles. br br You’ll also need practical experience managing external advisors, consultants, br stakeholders and partners.
