With the increasing focus on building safety and compliance, they are looking for an experienced CDM Consultant to join their growing team in various locations across the UK.Job purpose:To act as a CDM Consultant/Principal Designer as specified in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 on behalf of Eurosafe UK Clients;A progression toward the Senior CDM Consultant role.As a business Tersus offer a ‘Welcome & Retention Plan. The payments are however at the company’s discretion, and they do not form part of the employee’s terms and conditions of employment.Responsibilities:Carry out the day-to-day operations of the CDM Consultant TeamTo liaise with Clients, Designers and Contractors in relation to discharging duties under the CDM Regulations;To attend construction project design reviews and design team meetings;To advise Clients, Designers and Contractors on their duties under the CDM Regulations;To attend pre-start and progress meetings;To conduct site safety inspections on construction sites and prepare reports on the inspection findings;To prepare Pre-construction Health and Safety Information for construction projects and disseminate to the project team;To review and prepare Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments and Method statements for construction projects;You may be required to carry out other duties in line with your job status and level of responsibility, in order to meet the needs of the business.Experience/Skills RequiredNEBOSH General Certificate in Occupation Safety and Health or CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification;Previous experience within the construction industry ideally within a health and safety role or assisting someone acting in the role;An understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015;Excellent organisation and communication skills;The ability to work under own initiative;The ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines;A good level of IT skills.NEBOSH Construction Certificate;Technician Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health;Previous CDM Coordination experience within a consultancy organization.Tersus offer a competitive salary and benefits, plus a car allowance or company vehicle.
