Our team expertly manages commercial properties for prestigious clients such as Cambridge Colleges, institutions, property companies, and family trusts. Our portfolios are largely based in the Eastern Region and are let to both national and local covenants.
Specialising in long-term endowment funds, our team brings a forward-thinking approach to property management. We offer comprehensive services including rent reviews, lease renewals, development, acquisitions, and sales.
In this position, you will take responsibility to deliver the Property Management functions across Trinity College’s Urban Cambridge and Outside Cambridge property portfolios. You will be expected to effectively manage the diverse requirements of the role, whilst working closely with the Facilities Manager and Asset Manager, as well as the wider team, including Agency & Building teams.
What you'll be doing:
Manage a mixed portfolio of real estate in Cambridge, much within the historic core and a portfolio outside Cambridge.
Collaborate with facilities managers, client accounting managers, asset managers, building surveyors, project managers, tenants, specialists, suppliers, & contractors.
Work closely with the Asset Manager to achieve client investment objectives and create a sustainable, income-generating portfolio.
Manage tenancies, transactions, vacant units, tenant alterations, landlord projects/works, approvals and licences and property inspections.
Acting upon breaches of lease covenants and assisting with non-compliance issues
Liaise and support client accounting team on rent collection and debtor matters.
Ensure Property database is up-to-date, and all tenant data is recorded.
Provision of information and support to assist agency and lease consultancy on transaction matters.
Responsible for Service Charge Management
Engage with the Investment & Property Management team to improve operations, share knowledge, and foster a positive work environment.
About you:
Qualified Chartered Surveyor
Experience of Property Management Databases
Demonstrable knowledge of managing commercial service charges
Proven property management experience, including a good working knowledge of leases.
Demonstrable technical knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation and regulations relating to the management of commercial property.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skilled at co-ordinating other individuals and service providers
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Computer literate, at least intermediate level in Microsoft Excel and Word and PowerPoint
Confidence to deal directly with Clients to gain their inherent trust and confidence in your advice.
High level of numeracy, logical mind, and attention to detail
Enjoys a fast-paced and teamwork environment.
Full driving licence
