The Role We're looking for a fun, enthusiastic, passionate Chef/Cook to join our hard-working team here at the Plough Inn
As the Chef Cook, you will be responsible for running the day-to-day kitchen operations. Your key focus is to drive the business forward, bringing to life our exceptional standards and values
Main Responsibilities:
To ensure all food is served to the required standard.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained in the kitchen operation.
To strive and anticipate customer needs wherever possible, and to react to these to enhance customer satisfaction.
Proactively managing and supporting a team
Recruiting, training, supporting and people development
Maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget
Ensuring ongoing team communications through one to ones and on the job feedback
Creating a platform for financial growth through cost control
Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customer and colleagues
The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Kitchen Manager includes: Experience as head chef / Kitchen lead desirable or Sous Chef ready for next step
Proven leadership ability
Proactive and hands on' approach
