Contract Personnel are currently recruiting experienced Chefs to work in the outskirts of Norwich. A minimum of one year experience is required, and own transport is essential. A valid DBS check is required.
This is a temp to perm role. Following a successful 12 week probation period, there is an excellent opportunity to be offered a permanent contract with our client.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Prepare menus and agree them with the Manager (taking into consideration special diets and specific foods required)
Prepare and serve all meals in a timely manner
Order supplies for the catering operation from specified suppliers using company procedures, and maintain strict control over costs
Operate an efficient stock control system
Ensure supplied equipment is used with care
Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any faults or damage immediately
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the individuals this service supports
Any other duties as required
Shift pattern:
This role is to work on a shift rotation, but each shift starts at 07:00am. The duration of each shift will be a minimum of 6 hours, and a maximum of 8 hours.
Week 1: Monday, thursday and Friday
Week 2: Monday, Saturday and Sunday
