About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef Manager to lead and manage a contract catering service. This is a unique opportunity for a talented chef who thrives in the kitchen environment and enjoys working independently. As the sole culinary professional on-site, you will be responsible for all aspects of the kitchen operation, from menu planning to food preparation, presentation, and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. As well as interacting with customers and making coffees when required.

Key Responsibilities:
Menu Planning: Create and deliver a varied menu creating a new dish daily
Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook high-quality a meal daily, ensuring consistency and excellent presentation.
Inventory Management: Order and manage stock efficiently, minimizing waste and ensuring fresh ingredients are always available.
Compliance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Providing breakfast pastries and a hot meal fro lunch with side dishes with occasional hospitality and working lunches.
Customer Service: Engage with clients and customers to ensure satisfaction, tailoring services to meet their needs.
Cooking lunches daily for lunch service
Budget Management: Monitor food costs and manage the kitchen budget effectively.
Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen
About You:
Experience: Proven experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar role, ideally within a contract catering environment.
Culinary Skills: Strong cooking skills across a range of cuisines, with a passion for creating delicious, healthy meals.
Organized: Ability to manage all aspects of a kitchen independently, from planning to execution.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with clients and customers.
Problem-Solving: Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to solve problems efficiently as they arise.
Qualifications: Relevant culinary qualifications and a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate).
