PSM Recruitment is looking for an experienced Chef/ Sous Chef, supporting the Head Chef to prepare and cook food , to ensure the delivery of an excellent customer service.� This position is for our client based in Canterbury and they are offering part time hours, on a contract basis until end of August.





Key Responsibilities:




  • As directed by the Head Chef, to cook and prepare all menu items to ensure a high standard of food offer.

  • To work with other departments in providing effective service delivery in order to deliver an excellent standard of customer service

  • To control wastage of stock to ensure maximum efficiency at all times and to support the delivery of agreed margins

  • To respond to standard enquiries in a timely manner, escalating non standard queries and complaints, to ensure high levels of customer service for both internal and external customers.

  • To drive your own career and skills development, making the most of the opportunities made available to you.

  • To work in a safe and legal way to comply with regulatory and legislative requirements.





Key Skills & Qualifications:




  • Good knowledge of cooking techniques and style.

  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in particular food hygiene and food allergies.

  • NVQ Level 2 in professional cookery or equivalent

  • Level 2 in Food Safety.

  • GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent qualification.





Hours:� Up to 30 per week, between the hours of� 9.00am and 8.00pm
