Chemotherapy Lead Nurse
Position: Chemotherapy Lead Nurse
Location: Reading
Pay: Up to £48,000 per annum
Hours - Full time
Contract - Permanent
MediTalent are recruiting for a Chemotherapy Lead Nurse to work for our client - a leading healthcare provider to work in their first-class hospital based in Reading. They are looking for a Chemotherapy Lead Nurse to join their Chemotherapy department and act as a Lead Specialist in providing exemplary care for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
In this role, you will provide direct line management of the Chemotherapy department, deputising for the Cancer Services Lead and ensuring the holistic cancer team are providing an excellent standard of care. You will develop a working culture that is both collaborative and supportive in nature, offering advice and guidance to other colleagues, undertaking human resources activities for all members of the direct team.
However, you will not only be deputising. You will deliver SACT and non-SACT treatment to cancer patients, developing practice in the assessment of individual needs and requirements. You will also drive quality improvement initiatives across services provided by the Chemotherapy department and support the implementation of action plans that will initiate development within the Chemotherapy team.
To be successful, you must have a passion for leadership and deputising, you must have a pro-active approach to undertaking your caseload and you must inspire and empower other colleagues.
Skills required:

  • NMC pin required
  • You must hold an accredited teaching and assessing qualification
  • Previous management experience required
  • You must demonstrate computer literary skills
  • You must demonstrate that you can work with limited supervision
  • You must have recognised competency in the delivery of SACT
  • You must have experience within cancer care
