Chief Financial Officer (m/f/d) CTD Tiles is a UK-based specialist supplier of high-quality ceramic tiles and adhesives operating across 85 branches and 5 trading distribution hubs. With a revenue of 103m GBP (FY21), an EBITDA of 6.5m GBP (FY21), 557 employees and over 50 years of experience, CTD Tiles is one of the UK's leading names in the industry. The company predominantly sells tiles, tile adhesives, grout as well as associated tools and consumables for the preparation, laying, cutting, and drilling of tiles. With tile showrooms and trade centres across the country, CTD Tiles services a commercial and residential customer base. In Q1 2022 the business was acquired by the private equity group Aurelius. Aurelius is a pan-European investor with a long-term focus on private equity with a track record of over 150 transactions, 40 portfolio active portfolio companies and a portfolio revenue EUR 10bn. The mid-term plan for CTD Tiles is to substantially improve the cost basis, implement modern systems and processes and processes and fast grow the business organically as well as through add-on acquisitions. We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (m/f/d) The Role The purpose of the role is to be a key member of the executive team responsible for the ongoing growth and success of CTD Tiles. The role requires strong leadership and first-class influencing skills. Responsibilities will include: Running the finance, accounting, IT, tax and legal functions Supporting on M&A activity Developing the functions to support the needs of a fast growing and expanding business Playing an active role in managing customer and supplier relationships Identifying opportunities to enhance gross margin Evaluating investment opportunities and ad hoc projects as required Working with the private equity investor to deliver a successful exit Competencies and personal attributes Cultural and personality fit is critical. A track record of success in driving and challenging performance is important within a fast-paced environment. The new CFO will have: A master degree Experience in fast-paced environment Preferably previous exposure to private equity and/or M&A activity Previously worked as a CFO of a mid-sized business or demonstrated the potential to step-up in an influential 2nd level management role within finance (e.g. Head of Controlling in a private equity owned company). Commitment to continuously improve and optimize processes Strong business partnering skills; the ability to provide strategic, analytical and operational support - a well-rounded business person Commercial flair and acumen - a nose for the numbers and the ability to see the big picture whilst not losing sight of the detail Excellent communication skills and the authority to gain respect Willingness to commit to the fundamental principle of "retail is detail" Must have 'vision' to lead and be inspirational to others Must drive a performance culture.
