We plan to double our income by 2029, and we are seeking adedicated and strategic Chief Financial Officer who will be a key part of helping us address thatchallenge. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will develop and deliver an effective financial strategy which enables servicedelivery and growth. You will bring strong financial leadership, working closely with our senior management teamand Board to ensure effective financial governance and enable informed decision-making. You will act as atrusted source of advice and insight to our CEO and to our Board, along with its Audit and Risk Committee. Givenour ambitions to grow and diversify you will be a skilled strategist, delivering robust business cases forfuture investment, as well as critical challenge that will help drive Age Scotland s strategy and operationalplans. As a key member of the senior management team, you will play a vital and participative role in shapingboth the strategic and operational decision-making processes and ultimately ensuring the long-term financialsustainability of the charity. We are looking for a highly experienced and strategically minded finance professional with strong commercial acumenand the intellectual flexibility to move easily between detail and the bigger picture. Highly analytical withthe ability to get behind the numbers and carry out financial analysis to allow well-informed commercialdecisions you, will also bring a pragmatic approach, the ability to work at pace and a strong commitment to theaims and vision of Age Scotland. Whilst there individuals enjoyparticipating in a wide selection of activities whilst being supported by our skilled and dedicated staff. Inaddition to the Jubilee Club, we deliver a fortnightly Teatime Club which is attended by people living withdementia and their carers. As Veterans Project Officer, you will assist the Veterans Project and Unforgotten Forces team deliver their servicesacross Scotland and facilitate the smooth running of the department. This will include delivering Age Scotland score veterans training in face-to-face and online formats, as well as keeping these training sessions up-to-dateand developing new themes when required. This role will also involve extending the outreach of the Veterans Project training programme by engaging with newaudiences who would benefit from participating. This will include being responsible for the externalcommunications output of the Unforgotten Forces and Age Scotland Veterans projects. Hosted by Scottish Care and working closely with care providers and partners, the post involvesensuring sector involvement in the delivery of the integrating of health and social care in Scotland sHSCPs. The post holder must be highly motivated, be able to use initiative, possess excellent communication and networkingskills, demonstrate success and experience working at strategic level with policy makers, providers, regulators,people supported by services and carers. Qualifications and experience at a senior management level would be asignificant advantage. The post holder will be expected to create and support significant collaborations across the independent care sectorwhile contributing to the development of new care pathways which will result in the delivery of improvedoutcomes for people who access care and support. The post holder will ensure the Independent Sector scontribution is fundamental to integrated services and transformational change and be able to evidence theirimpact. The role requires considerable and skilful collaboration with our key partners in the NHS, LocalAuthority, Carers, third sector organisations and other forums. Inverclyde is a progressive partnership and invests heavily in this post and the Independent Sector. The successful candidate will be required to spend a significant amount of time in the Inverclyde area.
