About the role
FiSearch is exclusively retained by a Private Equity Investor on a mandate to appoint a CFO for one of their portfolio companies.
The asset is a ~£40 million revenue professional services group with a global, well diversified client base and operations in The UK and The US. The group has deep sector expertise and is currently outperforming the market.
This role will partner with the CEO to optimise margins and pricing, grow the business (with a focus on organic growth but with the possibility of M&A), and drive an exit for the investor at the end of 2026.
This is an opportunity for a dynamic and driven CFO to work with a highly respected Private Equity House and an executive team that has previously delivered successful exits on multiple occasions.
The CFO will be responsible for:
Strategic Financial Leadership; managing and developing a function of 10 FTEs. Using data and MI to support strategic decision making and develop and execute business strategy.
Relationship management, both internally and externally and business partnering across the group to support and advise each business unit.
All financial operations; leading budgeting, implementation of accurate forecasting and leading both board and statutory reporting.
Implementation of KPIs, metrics and dashboards. Cost control and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Extensive experience as a CFO or CFO-1 in a private equity backed professional services business.
Exposure to an exit process (Successful or unsuccessful)
Qualified Accountant.
Excellent analytical mindset and commercial and strategic acumen.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with top level stakeholders.
Hands on, in the detail, team player.
Strong influencing skills, with the ability to present and interact across all levels.
Package
Salary will be £175000-£225000 with a strong equity component.
