Chief Scientific Officer

Chaseman Global is partnered with a leading UK-based agritech start-up in the biologicals space that is seeking a dynamic Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) to lead its R&D efforts.About the Role: As CSO, you will oversee all aspects of the R&D pipeline, from discovery and development to delivering products ready for licensing. Responsibilities:Develop and implement the company’s overall scientific strategyGrow, lead and manage a team of skilled and passionate scientists in the discovery and early developments of microbial biologicalsOversee all aspects of R&D activities, from microbial collection and long-term storage to early product development, fermentation and formulation, and glasshouse trials and bring in new technologies/ideas for improving the company's value propositionEnsure successful protection of Intellectual property, FTO and confidentiality of the company’s scientific activitiesQualifications:PhD or equivalent in plant science, microbiology, or related field.10+ years of relevant work experience in an international agricultural organisation.Expertise in microbial discovery, bioprospecting, and strain development.Experience with early product development, fermentation and formulation, and glasshouse trials.Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
