Senior residential childcare roles available in Burntisland in a specialist residential home and school supporting young people primary and secondary ages who are disengaged from mainstream education. The children in the home may present with a variety of complexities and vulnerabilities including mental health, suicidality, past trauma and autism spectrum disorder to name a few. As as senior not only will your role involve working to provide the best possible outcomes for the children in the home, but also the adults working there. You will act as a positive role model and guiding hand at all times. You will be open and approachable for children to come to you with their support needs and also for the adults working in the team to reach out for support. You will work closely with the management team to achieve the outcomes set out by the organisation.

A successful senior residential childcare worker will be responsible for:
- Taking the lead to guide a team of child support workers
- Providing 24 hours care to a vulnerable young people
- Create a warm and nurturing environment for every child and adult
- Encourage the advancement of adults working in the home
- Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards
- Act as a positive parenting role model
To be successful in your application, you will:
- Ideally have experience working in a leadership role
- Be skilled in building therapeutic relationships in line with the organisation's core values
- Have knowledge of attachment theory and how this relates to trauma and children in care
- Register under the PVG scheme
- Full driving licence
- Obtained SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent ideally an SVQ 4 and HND
