Children and Families Social Worker

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Conduct thorough child protection assessments, investigations, and case management to ensure the safety and well-being of children at risk.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and develop tailored support plans.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports for internal and external partners.
  • Represent the organisation at child protection hearings, advocating for the best interests of the child.
  • Participate in and lead LAC reviews, ensuring the ongoing safety and well-being of children in care.


Requirements

  • Qualification in Social Work
  • Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration
  • Child Protection Training
  • Previous experience working as a Children and Families social worker
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of relevant policies and legislation
  • Experience in conducting Joint Investigative Interviews (JII) would be highly valued.
