About Us:
Randstad is proud to partner with Gateshead's Children Contextual Safeguarding Team to recruit a passionate and skilled Social Worker.
This vital role focuses on safeguarding children at risk of harm from outside their families, including exploitation, gang involvement, and other external threats.

Job Description:
Are you an experienced Social Worker with expertise in children's safeguarding? In this role, you will lead assessments, develop interventions, and collaborate with multi-agency teams to address the risks posed by external factors.

Responsibilities:
Conducting in-depth assessments of children and young people at risk of contextual harm.
Developing and implementing safeguarding plans that address external threats such as exploitation, peer pressure, and gang-related risks.
Engaging directly with children, families, and communities to build trust and provide support.
Working closely with schools, police, health services, and other agencies to deliver coordinated interventions.
Advocating for the best interests of children, ensuring their voices are central to decision-making processes.
Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records and adhering to professional and legal standards.

Qualifications:
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Experience in a children's safeguarding or contextual safeguarding role.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, including Working Together to Safeguard Children (WTSC).
Excellent communication and partnership-working skills.
A proactive approach to managing complex cases.
