Children & Families Social Worker

Are you a qualified social worker with a strong commitment to improving the safety and welfare of children?

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced social worker to work in Midlothian as part of the young people's disability team.

We are seeking an individual with a deep commitment to achieving the best outcomes for protected children, ready to make a positive impact.

This contract is for a minimum of 3 months, offering a competitive hourly rate.

Your responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

• Conducting assessments and reviews to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people
• Developing and implementing care plans
• Providing support and guidance to children, families, and carers
• Collaborating with multi agency teams to deliver effective interventions
• Maintaining accurate and uptodate case records
• Completing s23/SDS assessments
• Holding a caseload of more complex disability cases

Requirements:

• Member of the PVG scheme
• Degree in Social Work or equivalent
• Member of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
• Experience working with children and families
• Child protection training
