Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker



Location:�Burton on Trent



Salary: Up to �29,662 per annum inclusive of �40 sleep in rate



We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Burton.�The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day care and support for children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development.



Responsibilities:




  • Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people.

  • Encourage and support children and young people in their education, social, and leisure activities.

  • Work as part of a team to develop and implement care plans and risk assessments tailored to each child's needs.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

  • Support children and young people with their daily routines

  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

  • Act as a positive role model, promoting independence, self-esteem, and resilience in children and young people.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities as required.



Requirements:




  • Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting is desirable

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A compassionate and caring nature.

  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins on a rota basis.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and in challenging situations.

  • A driving license is essential for the role
