Job Title: Children's Assessment & Intervention Social Worker
Location: Oldham Council
Salary: £36,648 - £40,221 per annum + £2,000 retention payment
Contract: Permanent
Working Arrangements: Hybrid working
Description:
Oldham Council is looking for passionate and dedicated Social Workers to join our Assessment & Intervention (A&I) Team. Responsibilities:

• Undertake statutory assessments for children and families, identifying risks and developing support plans.
\n
• Provide timely interventions to protect children from harm and improve their well-being.
\n
• Work in partnership with families, professionals, and partner agencies to deliver targeted support.
\n
• Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring high-quality social work practice in line with legislation.
\n
• Prepare and present reports for court proceedings, case conferences, and multi-agency meetings.
\n
• Advocate for children and families, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• \nQualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
\n
• \nExperience: Experience in safeguarding, child protection, or assessment and intervention preferred.
\n
• \nSkills: Strong assessment, risk management, and decision-making skills.
\n
• \nKnowledge: Understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to children's social care.
\n
• \nOther Requirements: Ability to travel across Oldham.
\n
