Description:
Oldham Council is looking for passionate and dedicated Social Workers to join our
Assessment & Intervention (A&I) Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of safeguarding children and young people, working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where early intervention and timely decision-making are key.

Responsibilities:\n- Undertake statutory assessments for children and families, identifying risks and developing support plans.
\n- Provide timely interventions to protect children from harm and improve their well-being.
\n- Work in partnership with families, professionals, and partner agencies to deliver targeted support.
\n- Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring high-quality social work practice in line with legislation.
\n- Prepare and present reports for court proceedings, case conferences, and multi-agency meetings.
\n- Advocate for children and families, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.

Requirements:\n- \nQualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
\n- \nExperience: Experience in safeguarding, child protection, or assessment and intervention preferred.
\n- \nSkills: Strong assessment, risk management, and decision-making skills.
\n- \nKnowledge: Understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to children's social care.
\n- \nOther Requirements: Ability to travel across Oldham.
