We are recruiting for sessional and part-time practitioners to work across our regular groups: /p p br /p ul li Adventurers (0 – 9yrs) /li li The BaSe (10- 12yrs) /li li Teen Spirit (13 – 18 yrs) /li /ul p br /p p With positions available for senior and experienced staff as well as newly qualified, the team is key to building trusting relationships with our younger members, management of service routines and leading the delivery of group sessions. /p p br /p p We meet our members through connection with families living with HIV. Our model understands the particular challenges that this presents, whilst also being able to see a broad range of risk and protective factors that at times can be even more significant. /p p br /p p The therapeutic environment at Body & Soul works with this, providing a consistent relational space where members can access for as long as they wish. Creativity is a central feature of our sessions and projects, blending therapeutic approaches with active and expressive art forms. The programme is a rich learning and supportive environment with low adult ratios, enabled by a committed sessional and volunteer team. /p p br /p p strong Who We are Looking For /strong /p p As we add to our multi-disciplinary team, we are interested in hearing from: experienced teachers, creative therapists, social workers and/or children’s workers and those working in special education or pupil referral settings. /p p br /p p You’ll be a confident, experienced practitioner, skilled in using interventions that can help children manage their emotions and build resilience. Group work skills are essential, with activities focused on developing social and inter-personal skills and the children’s sense of belonging and connection. /p p br /p p The service is linked to a wider range of services that together take an integrated family approach. /p p The hours are flexible and focused on service delivery, leading sessions across the week, ranging from evenings, daytime and some weekend provision. /p p br /p p strong Body & Soul /strong Transforming Trauma with Love’ /p p We believe that people should be able to live their lives free from shame, and no one should have their life chances reduced because of traumatic experiences in their past. We also believe that transformational change does not have an age limit. /p p br /p p Our specially designed centre in Clerkenwell, London comprises five floors of state-of-the-art care and wellbeing facilities, including therapy rooms, a chef’s kitchen, a seminar room, a games room and sound studio, and an Ofsted-approved children’s centre. /p p br /p p Body & Soul members have access to a full range of services that reflects our whole-person approach. These include one-to-one as well as group therapeutic support, health and wellbeing seminars, legal support and advocacy, psycho-education, employment programmes and complementary therapies (e.g. shiatsu, massage). /p p br /p p Complex issues require comprehensive responses, but with the right intervention at the right time, the Body & Soul model builds hope and resilience. Our approach is grounded in responsive, expert programming with the aim of maximising pathways for achievement and continuous learning in an environment of aspiration. /p p br /p p strong Qualifications, Capabilities & Experience: /strong /p p Body & Soul's Children's & Youth Team is suited to qualified professionals from a breadth of backgrounds.
