Job Title: Specialist Childcare Workers
Location: St Helens
Salary: £24,909 - £27,317 per annum (or pro-rata for part-time hours)
Contract: Full-Time, 39 hours per week

About Us:
This is a new residential provision focused on supporting children transitioning from a specialised secure environment. We provide a psychologically informed, therapeutic environment to help young people move from physical security to relational security, offering Residential Care, Education, and Health support.
The Role:
We are seeking dedicated Specialist Childcare Workers to provide exceptional care to children and young people, treating them with dignity and respect. As a Specialist Childcare Worker, you will:
Promote good childcare practices by fostering a caring environment in line with our home's purpose and core values.
Deliver trauma-informed care, participating in the development of psychological formulations based on understanding trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
Support young people to stay safe through relationships with staff rather than physical restrictions, using models of complex relational care.
Prepare young people for successful adult lives by showing ambition, integrity, and compassion in your interactions.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards it (funded through an accredited Apprenticeship).
Be optimistic, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality care.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of trauma and its impact on young people.
