Civil Design Engineer

Civil Design Engineer | London or Leeds | Outside IR35

Role Overview
We seek a motivated Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex engineering projects advancing the UK's Net Zero goals. You'll manage civil and structural designs, ensure accuracy, and uphold quality standards. Key duties include preparing calculations, drawings, and technical reports; overseeing site surveys and assessments; and communicating directly with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design Leadership: Execute and review designs for structures, drainage, foundations, and related civil works; manage BIM/CAD files and project documentation.
• Project Management: Control budgets, timelines, and resources; oversee contracts, ensuring adherence to NEC contract forms and project profitability.
• Team Development: Mentor junior engineers and assist with their professional growth and chartership goals.
• Quality and Compliance: Conduct peer reviews, uphold SHEQ requirements, and implement best practices in alignment with CDM and industry standards.
• Client Interface: Present findings, attend meetings, and manage stakeholder expectations.

Skills and Requirements

• Chartered or close to chartership, with proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Strong command of technical writing, with precision in documentation.
• Available for travel as needed, with hybrid work options after probation.
