Quantity Surveyor (QS) - Lead the Contract at Port of Dover

Shorterm Group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) or Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to lead the contract at the Port of Dover, working with a large, multi-disciplinary engineering company. This is a fantastic opportunity for a QS with a Civil Engineering and Maintenance background.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying function for the Port of Dover project, including minor works and larger schemes.
* Oversee the financials of a 4-year maintenance contract, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and within scope.
* Prepare and manage Cost Estimates, Tender Submissions, Contractual Documents, and Cost Reports.
* Take the lead on price work, including pricing contracts, assessing labour and material costs, and ensuring the financial competitiveness of projects.
* Handle Procurement, working closely with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure optimal pricing and timely delivery.
* Monitor and control project costs, including managing Variations, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Inspection and Test Plans (RAMS, ITPs).
* Manage project cash flow, identifying risks, and implementing strategies to mitigate financial issues.
* Work closely with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and successful financial performance of projects.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in price work, ideally within engineering or construction.
* Demonstrable experience with NECFM Contracts - NEC Experience needed.
* Experience working with Sub contractors.
* Excellent communication with Team and Client
