Civil Engineering Technician

Location: Sheffield

Salary: Up to 35k + package benefits (dependent on experience)

Emtech are working with a medium size Civil Engineering Consultancy who are looking for a Civil Engineering CAD / Design Technician to join their team in Sheffield. Ideally you will have a few years experience working in civil engineering design primarily with highways, infrastructure, drainage or transport.

They are currently working on a range of schemes across residential, retail, warehouses and commercial projects and you will have the opportunity to work as part of an experienced team assisting the successful delivery of these projects.

Technical Experience Required:

• 2+ years experience using AutoCAD on highway and infrastructure schemes
• Experience draughting roads, junctions, roundabouts, external works, drainage
• Prior experience with Civil 3d would be useful but training can be provided
• Experience in any of: Microdrainage, Flow, PDS would be particularly beneficial but if not training will be offered
• This role has scope to get involved with civil engineering design work as well as site visits
• HNC / HND Qualification within an Engineering related subject

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join an established business working on a range of development projects across the UK. You will also get the opportunity to get involved with design work as part of this role with the view of progressing into a Design Technician / Civil Engineer role.
