Job Overview:
I am recruiting for�a Litigation Solicitor with experience in civil and commercial litigation to join a West Midlands local authority. This litigation solicitor�role involves managing a diverse caseload, including breach of contract, data protection claims, debt recovery, and property litigation. The ideal candidate should have recent Court advocacy experience and be capable of handling fast track, intermediate, and multi-track cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Civil & Commercial Litigation: Handle a varied caseload, including breach of contract, data breaches, debt recovery, and property disputes.
- Property Litigation: Manage cases involving landlord-tenant disputes, forfeiture, trespass/encroachment claims, and dilapidations.
- Court Advocacy: Attend court as required�with recent, relevant advocacy experience.
- Multi-Track Case Management: Manage cases across fast, intermediate, and multi-track levels.
- Time Recording: Maintain detailed time records in line with private practice standards (target 6.5 hours/day).
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Litigation Solicitor with an active practicing certificate.
- Litigation Experience: Demonstrated experience in civil, commercial, and property litigation.
- Advocacy Skills: Recent experience advocating in Court, eager for in-court appearances.
- Track Experience: Strong familiarity with fast track, intermediate, and multi-track claims.
- Employment Reference: Ability to provide a recent reference.
- Minimal Career Breaks: No significant career gaps (6 months max).
