Claims Handler

Purpose:

To work within an established team and proactively manage a caseload of highway claims through to completion.

Reponsibilities:

* Manage a caseload of highway claims from start to finish - Compiling reports, reviewing evidence, assessing liability and communicating decisions to claimants.
* Where required, negotiating settlement of claims within agreed authority levels.
* Maintain accurate claim records within our reporting system.
* Manage input from loss adjusters on cases they are instructed to handle.
* Build strong and collaborative relationships with our clients.
* Provide excellent levels of customer service
Experience:

* Claims handling experience essential. Experience handling highways and personal injury claims would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication and customer skills.
* Ability to work within a team and provide training for less experienced colleagues.
