CLASS 1 DRIVER
MONDAY - FRIDAY - With Various Start Times - AM/Afternoon's/PM
£16.25 - £20.35 PER HOUR
People Solutions are working with a national logistics provider supporting them with their recruitment of Class 1 Drivers due to a change of location. We are looking for drivers to attend an assessments immediately this week - 16th September. Followed by paid training and a start date.
This means that all roles have a great possibility of being permanent from day one.

Monday to Friday Operation (No Bank Holiday's)

23 plate vehicles, new fleet
33 days holiday ( dictated by factory shut downs )
Great rates of pay
Rates of pay:
£16.25 per hour basic
£20.31 per hour overtime after 48 hours
Day to Day Duties:
Driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to make 3 - 5 trunk runs a day
Curtain sider work
Make on time deliveries
Communicate with the transport team
Follow Company policies and procedures
Comply with driving rules and regulations
Strapping loads correctly (awkward loads)
Essential Skills:
Hold a valid UK Category CE licence
Hold UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card
Have a minimum of 2 years experience driving CE vehicles
Maximum of 6 penalty points for minor infringements with no major endorsement codes
Work in a professional manner
Excellent communication skills
Desirable Experience:
Experience in strapping abnormal loads would be beneficial as well as navigating tight delivery depots.
Training:
You will be required to pass a driving assessment before attending a Three-day paid company training programme.
