Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant hire operations and be capable of handling a variety of heavy goods vehicles.� You will be working full time hours working Monday-Friday with an hourly rate of �16ph.
Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport plant hire equipment to various locations.
• Ensure timely delivery and collection of equipment, adhering to schedules and deadlines.
• Conduct pre�and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
• Load and unload plant hire equipment, ensuring secure and safe transportation.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle maintenance.
• Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
• Experience in plant hire operations.
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with a variety of plant hire equipment.
• Knowledge of local routes and geography.
