Class 1 Night Trunk Driver

CLASS 1 NIGHT TRUNK DRIVER
WORKING 4 NIGHTS OUT OF 7: START TIMES
£16.85 - £25.85 PER HOUR
People Solutions are looking for a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver for our client based in Motherwell.
You must be aged 21 or over for this role for insurance purposes.

You will receive your pay weekly, and there is realistic overtime available working with this client

Drivers have access to Canteen & Vending Machines
This is a PAYE vacancy and therefore you will accrue holiday pay separately
Pay Rates
£16.85 per hour until 22.00
£19.85 per hour after 22.00
£25.85 per hour for Saturday nights
Day to Day Duties
You will be required to work any 4 nights from 7 and you will know your shifts a week in advance
There can be varied start times between, depending on the route you are on
Drive Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
Ensure all loads are safe and secure
Carry out vehicle inspections and report any faults to management
Ensure all paperwork is completed
You will be required to take a double deck trailer to destination
Assist with the unloading of rails, before returning to the client's premises
Essential Skills
Must be aged 21 or over for insurance purposes
Must hold a valid UK Category CE Driving Licence and have held this for at least two years
At least two years' experience driving Class 1 vehicles
Valid CPC & DIGI Card
No major endorsements: no DD, DR or IN's on licence for insurance purposes
No more than six points for minor infringements
Desirable Experience
Previous night trunking experience would be an advantage
At least two years' experience in any LGV driving role
Training
You must undergo Driving Assessment and, if passed, you will undergo a fully paid one day induction.
