CLEANING OPERATIVE

BISHOP'S STORTFORD

We are recruiting office cleaners to join an existing team.

• Role - Cleaning Operative
• Location- Bishop's Stortford
• Shifts - DAY anytime between 8.30am to 19.30pm - 4 hrs per day
• Hours - 20 hours
• Pay- �11.65 per hour

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleaning of male and female toilets
• Cleaning of service areas (back-of-house) including offices and storage areas
• Using correct chemicals for each of the surfaces and types of cleaning requirements as specified by the Standard Operating Procedures
• Deep cleaning during the office closure times.
• Cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping (using color coding equipment) waxing floors, Floor scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Refilling supplies, such as toilet paper, paper towels, hand wash liquids, Facemask, Sanitizers etc
• Cleaning spills, broken glass
• Performing maintenance activities related to cleaning and reporting any broken equipment's
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks, deep cleaning, and special projects

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

• Great interpersonal and communication skill
• Proactivity and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and the ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask and maintain schedule while responding to incidents.

As this role is connected to a major UK airport and involves the successful applicant having an airside pass all applicants must be willing for Avtav to complete the following process on their behalf in line with Aviation Security Regulations.

• 5 year employment history check
• UK criminal record check
• Overseas criminal record check if overseas in past 5 years for more than 6 months
• Relevant aviation security training completed in house by Avtav (not cost to applicant)
