Clerk of Works

This role involves overseeing compliance and quality in traffic and highway projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.

• Inspecting setting out and levels for compliance with Contract Documents.
• Inspecting materials delivered to the site, including those of subcontractors, and notifying the team of any non-compliance.
• Overseeing all works in progress, ensuring they comply with Contract Documents.
• Visiting off-site manufacturing facilities to inspect components and reporting on compliance.
• Maintaining records and documenting installations, tests, and positions of various structural elements.
• Recording variations and hidden works and providing information to the project team.
• Checking and signing day work sheets and preparing weekly and detailed progress reports.
• Witnessing and documenting the results of tests, and maintaining a register of test outcomes.

• Experience in traffic and highway projects.
• Excellent knowledge of construction processes and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed and clear reports.
