Artemis Human Capital is working in partnership with our client, a leading Commercial Property business based in the heart of Belfast city centre, to hire a talented Service Charge Accountant to join their Client Accounting team. Luxurious offices in Belfast city centre Hybrid working Excellent scope for career progression Competitive salary & benefits package The successful candidate duties will be: Entering service charge budgets Updating tenant charges to reflect increases. Preparation of Service charge reconciliations to ensure the balancing charges are issued within timeframe Closing year-end service charges and ensuring adherence with the RICS Processing journal entries. Responsible for accruals and prepayments. Ensuring tenants apportionments are correct. Reconciling service charge funds to the bank balance Dealing with service charge account queries and producing breakdowns upon request. Liaising with auditors in preparation of year end expenditure Review actual expenditure for the year to date against budget and implement adjustments as agreed with the surveyor or shopping centre manager. The successful candidate: As an ideal candidate, you will be enthusiastic, driven and excited to work as part of a team. This is an excellent role which can give you solid experience with a commercial business. You will also have a really good opportunity to learn and develop within the team. In addition to a positive attitude and proactive approach, you will have: 5 GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent to include English and Maths. Good excel skills, V Lookups & Pivot Tables Excellent Team Player A flexible and helpful mind set. Proficient written and oral communication skills. An ability to work without full supervision. An ability to use initiative and communicate any issues or ideas to the manager.
