We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manger / Deputy Manager for our newly established four bed mental health care home, supporting males aged 18-65 with severe and enduring mental illness and complex needs

Care Direct 24 is a�new and expanding healthcare provider�in Greater Manchester, specialising in�domiciliary and psychotherapy services�for individuals with severe and enduring mental illness. As part of our growth, we are�expanding into residential and nursing care�to better support individuals with complex needs. Our mission is to�empower individuals aged 18-65 to lead fulfilling lives�through personalised care, skill development, and community integration.



About the Role:



As the Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development and leadership of our service. This is an�exciting opportunity�to be involved from the outset, helping to shape policies, recruit and develop a strong team of professionals, and ensure the highest standards of person-centred care. You will be responsible for the�delivery of care within the home�and will report directly to the Registered Manager.



Care Direct 24, Charles House is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with proven clinical and managerial experience as a�Deputy Home Manager / Clinical Lead Nurse,�to�motivate, inspire, and lead�the Charles House team in achieving high standards and promoting resident safety. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, caring, responsive, effective, and well-led environment.



Key Responsibilities:



Lead and support a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.



Develop and implement clinical strategies to ensure best practices in mental health support.



Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and compliance with CQC standards.



Train, supervise, and mentor staff to promote continuous improvement.



Liaise with external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, families, and community services.



Deputise for the Registered Manager and assist in the overall home management.



Ensure clinical compliance, performance management, and staff development.



Provide leadership and supervision to nurses and healthcare assistants.



Maintain high standards of care, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.



Support staff in delivering care to individuals with severe and enduring mental illness, including those with challenging behaviours, addressing both mental and physical health needs.



About You:



Qualified Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC registration.



Care home experience is essential.



Proven experience in a leadership role within a mental health or complex care setting.



Substantial experience managing individuals with complex needs and a strong understanding of mental health issues.



Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in mental health care.



Knowledge and skills in caring for adults with severe and enduring mental illness, including those who may present behaviours that challenge.



An experienced and credible clinician who can deliver person-centred services to meet the identified needs of residents.



Able to lead by example with a firm but inclusive management style.



Excellent communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.



Ability to manage conflicting priorities, work flexibly, and participate in on-call arrangements.



Experience conducting investigations, writing reports/recommendations, or managing budgets is advantageous but not essential.



Open, encouraging, and able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy in leadership.
