Hunter AHP is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a renowned NHS Hospital in Devon.
Role Overview:As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to optimise the use of medicines in a clinical setting. You will play a key role in medication management, counselling patients, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals across various departments within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical pharmacy services to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Review and monitor prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
- Provide expert advice to medical and nursing staff on medication management.
- Ensure optimal pharmaceutical care for patients with complex health conditions.
- Participate in ward rounds and contribute to multi-disciplinary team discussions.
- Support the education and training of junior pharmacy staff and students.
- Assist with medicine supply and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, NHS guidelines, and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements:
- GPhC registered pharmacist.
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience, ideally within a clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of NHS policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills and patient-focused approach.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a busy hospital environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Post-graduate qualifications (e.g., clinical pharmacy diploma or MSc).
- Experience in specific clinical areas such as oncology, cardiology, or critical care.
