Stephen James Consulting are partnering with one of their elderly care clients in the search for a Clinical RGN Trainer. This newly created national role will be�responsible to deliverer both clinical and mandatory training, across the�portfolio of care homes.



Delivering Clinical Training according to the Clinical Training framework, along with to provide a consistent delivery approach with regards to all operational aspects of Clinical Training.�



Key Accountabilities:




  • Ensure all new Clinical Colleagues are shown a consistent approach to the training and assessment of clinical skills

  • Provide a preparatory programme to support overseas nurses in advance of their Objective Structured Clinical

  • Examinations (OSCE) that is aligned with NMC expectations

  • �Work with your Line Manager to design and deliver a robust nurse induction programme at all levels of the role

  • Supporting the Care Home Assistant Practitioner Programme implementation, through the provision of training, assessment, and evaluation

  • Ensure all clinical training is evidence based as per the Clinical Governance policy.�



Key Requirements:




  • Deliver Clinical training where required and agree the procurement of external training provision where necessary

  • Provide training in the real environment where possible and utilisation of a simulated environment where required

  • Assess the clinical competence of colleagues following training to ensure knowledge and understanding is applied correctly.

  • Provide clinical skills training to relevant clinical colleagues using evidence based practice

  • Support Nurses through their Revalidation with signposting and mentorship where required

  • Coach and mentor colleagues to ensure knowledge learnt in the training environment is transferred to the working environment

  • Evaluate training to ensure theory has transferred to safe and effective practice and measure impact on the delivery of care

  • Promote awareness and compliance with the Group operational policies and procedures.
