Cloud Engineer

OCI Engineer Hybrid – London 6 months initial We are seeking a skilled and motivated Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer to join our IT/Cloud Services team. The OCI Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure solutions to meet the business needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of OCI services, cloud architecture, and industry best practices.Key Responsibilities:Design and Architecture:Design and implement OCI solutions that are secure, scalable, and highly available.Develop architectural blueprints and detailed documentation for OCI-based solutions.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Deployment and Management:Deploy, configure, and manage OCI services including compute, storage, network, and database services.Automate OCI deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.Monitor and maintain OCI infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.Optimization and Troubleshooting:Optimize OCI resources for cost-efficiency and performance.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OCI infrastructure and services.Provide support for incident and problem management processes.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of OCI services such as Compute, Storage, VCN, Load Balancer, and Database.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform.Understanding of networking concepts and technologies including VPN, DNS, and firewall configurations.Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Certifications:OCI Architect Associate or Professional certification is highly desirable.
