Cloud IT Infrastructure Engineer - Azure - UK Wide

Cloud IT Infrastructure Solutions Engineer with excellent Microsoft cloud Azure experience to play an important role in the development & design of Azure cloud infrastructure solutions is required by UK wide Civil Engineering company

This role can be 100% remote working, so you can be based anywhere in the UK! They do have 50 offices in the UK, so you can work from one of the offices if you like, or work from home. The team of is spread across all regions of the UK

You must have experience in designing & building MS Azure IT infrastructure environments and utilising native Cloud features and functionality. This is a new role for a company going through some huge Cloud / Azure transformation projects.

Experience required:

4+ years of 3^rd line technical expertise - Cloud Azure design, so building cloud infrastructures is a must with the following:

• Azure Cloud
• Entra Identity Design / Entra Conditional Access Configuration
• Privileged identity management
• Intune
• M365 Design
• Server work
• Modern workspace on Windows 11
• Proven experience in building or supporting Azure environments, with Azure admin and Azure security

Some nice to haves would be:

• Azure Certification would be desirable (They can offer to put you on training for these)
• PowerShell
• Some networking and security experience would also be great, as there will be some projects in that area you would get involved in.
• SQL management

You have the be UK national as you need to be able to gain up to SC clearance for this role (they will put you through this when you start). This is because you will work on classified data for government agencies, and similar that require a certain level of security clearance

The main pain point is that they are playing massive catch up on cloud services. They need somebody to help in the design of these services. So, things around M365 design, Entra Identity management design, Access Configuration, general Azure cloud infrastructure design work is a must. It is very much a role in which you will be involved in brand new projects from day1

While they have some Azure skills in the team, they want to expand their technical bandwidth in the team and bring in somebody with Azure skills. You will be part of transformation projects as well as improving their Azure cloud capabilities, they also want this person to help capture and utilise cloud-native technology.

Flexible working is on offer, with the chance to be 100% remote working if needed. (There will be training opportunities in Azure to gain more certifications)
