I'm currently working with a Hotel Group, who are the most successful and largest hotel group in Ireland, and now have a growing presence in the UK and Continental Europe.Their portfolio consists of 51, primarily 4-star hotels situated in city-centre locations. They are continuing our sustained growth and expansion with the opening of new hotels in the following UK cities, Shoreditch London, Brighton & Manchester Cathedral Quarter.They are seeking a new Cluster Business Development Manager, location in the heart of London.They pride themselves on offering plenty of room for career growth, lots of responsibility and autonomy, and a brilliant work culture.I am seeking a motivated and sales orientated person to fill the role of Business Development Manager, reporting into the Cluster Sales & Marketing Manager.Whilst training will be provided, along with continuous development in the position a good basic working of Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook is preferential.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Source and win new corporate, function and special event business for the Hotel.Maintaining their existing accounts and generate new business from these accounts as per targets agreed.Support the Sales & marketing Manager in production of daily/ weekly reports.Conduct an agreed number of sales calls and site inspections to maintain and develop new business.Identify Key Competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis.Prepare and execute specific annual and quarterly sales and marketing action plans in conjunction with Sales & Marketing Manager and the marketing executive.Maintain up to date client databases and the CRM system.To participate fully in all sales activities including sales researching, telesales, sales calls, corporate client entertaining, social events, promotions, and FAM entertaining.Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis, monitoring their performance, rates, and sales activity.To be flexible and co-operative in the workplace to ensure the smooth and successful operation of the hotel.Flexibility within each job category/functional area will be required by the company and full inter-changeability between departments will be required.Dependent on business levels within the hotel, you will be required to assist with duties as directed by Management.These duties may include assistance in duties/operations in all areas of the hotel and/or its operation.Requirements: 3 years' experience in a similar role.3rd level DegreeExcellent organisational skills and the ability to oversee & delegate work to others.A warm, friendly, and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests.The ability to work on their own initiative, as well as being capable of working as part of a team.Benefits:Access to their Learning and Development programmes, including Apprenticeships programmesOpportunities for career progression and advancement within the hotel groupCompetitive employee, friends & family rates for overnight stays in their Hotels25% discount off Food & Beverage when using Company Hotels FacilitiesUp to 33 days holiday (Inclusive of Bank Holidays) based on lenght of serviceAccess to Life Works, our Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 health and wellbeing supportRegular employee appreciation events, including Staff parties through the year and monthly employee rewards programmesComplimentary use of the hotel gymFree employee meals on duty
