CNC Engineer
£30k - £45k depending on skills and experience, plus performance bonuses

YOUR ROLE AS ENGINEER WILL BE VARIED AND STIMULATING AND YOU WILL BE PIVOTAL IN THE SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY OF THESE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES. WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU ARE INITIATIVE-TAKING WITH DRIVE AND DETERMINATION TO DELIVER NATIONALLY IMPORTANT PROJECTS. YOU WILL ALSO ENJOY THE AUTONOMY TO DIRECTLY INFLUENCE YOUR OWN WORK AREAS, WORKING ALONE AND AS PART OF A TEAM WHEN NECESSARY.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Machining turned and milled parts from various materials.
• Machine programming and operating.
• Contribute to design and problem-solving tasks, e.g fixtures and custom tooling.
• Maintaining a safe, clean working environment and managing machine maintenance schedules.
• Process maintenance, record keeping, capturing results and report writing.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Attend meetings as required by your line manager and senior management
• To work within the team and share good practice.
• To take part in any CPD activities appropriate to the role.
• Support the development and implementation of initiatives and policies e.g., data security, health and safety.
• The postholder will be required to undertake any other professional duties as required by their line manager/company director.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Relevant vocational certificate/diploma. ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
• Experienced CNC operator; milling and/or turning.
• Experienced CNC programmer, ONE CNC and/or Fusion 360.
• Multi axis CNC programmer operator (experience of Haas control – preferred).
• Complimentary skills; manual milling, turning, grinding and bench fitting.
• Ability to follow instruction and work under strict Health and Safety protocols.
• A full driving licence required and desirable to have FLT licence.
• Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Office. DESIRABLE SKILLS:
• Knowledge of HAAS and Solid Works. • Knowledge of parts inspection and measurement e.g CNC and CMM.
• Understanding of machining processes/techniques e.g Wire EDM and laser engraving.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Additional vetting checks will be necessary, including, but not limited to police, security, and DBS due to the nature of the work conducted. Will have to prove right to work in UK.
