CNC Machine Setter Rainham, Greater London £15.75ph, £32,760 PA 0600-1430 Monday to Friday

JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES :
Setting and operating of CNC lathes, vertical machining centres and horizontal machining centres using Ikegai, Index ABC / C65, and Citizens controls and conventional machines as and when required (Drills, capstan lathes, fly press etc)
Ensuring cycle times and outputs are achieved to the correct quality standard, report failings.
Complete detailed quality checks against dimensional drawings using measuring equipment, verniers, micrometers and gauges etc,
Pass off 1st off approvals for production run and log and record all measurements on the relevant check sheets.
Program transfers from and to the computer system.
Set machines as requested and ensure that cycle times achieve the quality and output standards required
Recognise, identify and rectify or report exceptional requirements or shortfalls for parts and components.
Train and develop new team members to the standard required.
Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards.
Maintain good communications and relationships throughout company.
Ensure compliance with company procedures
Fill in for machine shop team leader when required.

DESIRABLE:
Experienced CNC Setter
Good understanding of set ups and tooling
Turning machine experience required
Ability to read drawings
Some programming experience is desirable but not essential
Experience of Ikegai, Index ABC / C65, and Citizens CNC lathes preferable
Engineering qualification - NVQ or equivalent preferred
