CNC Machinist

Our client is a leading Furniture Manufacturer based in Leeds, they are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Wood Machinist to contribute to their commitment to excellence in craftsmanship and precision.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC woodworking machinery to produce high-quality wood components according to specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings and program CNC machines to ensure accurate and efficient production.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance, making adjustments as necessary.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Wood Machinist 
• Knowledge of other machines like Edge banding, Saw operator and understanding of Wood Work and B-Solid
• Extensive knowledge of wood materials and machining processes.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to machine adjustments.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and adherence to quality standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Hours of work are Monday- Wednesday 15:15pm-01:45am and Thursday 15:15pm-00:45am (Fixed shift) 

Pay Rate: £16 p/h 

Overtime is available on weekends at time and a half on Saturdays and double on Sundays.
