The Role of CNC Machinist

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

• Manufacture injection mould tooling and components
• Modify injection mould tools, including electrode manufacture, producing job sheets and work instructions
• CAD designing, from scratch models to modifying existing 3D CAD models
• Manufacture of jigs and fixtures to support all areas of the business
• Online and offline CAM programming (Heidenhain & Siemens controllers)
• Operating 3 Axis and 5 Axis CNC Milling machines

What We're Looking For

The ideal CNC Machinist candidate will have:

• GCSE A-C in Maths and English (essential)
• Full apprenticeship or time served as a Machinist/Toolmaker (desirable)
• HNC/HND in mechanical engineering (desirable)
• Experience in setting and operating CNC machines
• Proficiency in CAD and CAM software
• Expertise in 3 and 5 Axis VMC programming
• Knowledge of Heidenhain controllers
