CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator

Our client is seeking a highly skilled programmer, setter, operator of a Okuma MB-8000H Miller, who
is looking to take ownership of the role. It is essential the successful candidate enjoys a multi skilled role who is used to working tight tolerance finished machining.
Duties & Responsibilities
Setting and operating of Okuma MB-8000H Miller using the programs and tooling specified
Editing of new and existing programmes
Hand finishing/cleaning of components where necessary
Final inspection of components, maintaining and owning the quality of the products machined
Following and maintaining all documentation standards required
Working to very fine tolerances within a Six Sigma environment
Working to production schedules to meet output requirements
Carrying out planned health and safety checks of equipment
Skills & Experience
Experience of Okuma OSP or Fanuc controller a distinct advantage
Experience in a low to medium volume, high tolerance production environment
Ideally, a time-served apprentice with 2-3 years experience in a similar environment
Experience of operating Mitutoyo CMM an advantage
Use of a range of measuring equipment, micrometres, Trimos Height Gauge etc
Precision engineering or tool making background
Experience in working with Nickel Alloys
Willingness and ability to adapt to company manufacturing procedures

These shift systems are currently ongoing, however, may change in the future depending on business needs.
