As a CNC Operator/Setter, you will play a pivotal role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that components are produced to the highest standards of quality and precision. The role will be predominantly operating one of the three large capacity milling machines onsite. This will involve a wide variety of components from castings to fabrications of different shapes and sizes. This role is idea for a candidate who looking for a challenge in the diverse number of products we manufacture.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



- Program using Heidenhain control.



- Setup and operate the Milling Machine efficiently



- Monitor Milling machines and oversee work in progress.



- Ensure manufacturing activities adhere to agreed quality standards and documentation.



- Conduct in-process quality assurance checks, including first-off inspection.



- Report any operational or maintenance issues to the team leader.



- Collaborate effectively within a team environment to achieve best results.



- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the work area.



- Undertake any other duties as required by the client.



Skills & Attributes:



- Proficiency in setting and running Milling Machine.



- Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.



- Familiarity with CNC programs (ISO or conversational).



- Competence in operating inspection and measuring equipment.



- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changes.



- Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines.



- Commitment to producing work of the highest quality.



- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.



- Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to tackle challenges.





Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:



- Experience with Heidenhain control.



- Strong attention to detail.



- Demonstrated work ethic, punctuality, and time management skills.



- understanding of engineering drawings and their specific requirements.



- Extensive knowledge of machining to exact tolerances.



- Previous experience of operating a CNC Milling Machine is essential.



- Time served or apprenticeship qualifications preferred, depending on experience.



- Knowledge of ISO programs and control systems such as Mazatrol is advantageous (training provided for skilled engineers).



Working hours:



Monday to Thursday 7am - 4:00pm



Friday 7am - 12 midday



39 hours pw
