Impact Recruitment Agency is currently seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturer in Leicester. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern and well-equipped manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on quality, precision, and efficiency.

Location: Leicester

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hourly Rate: �14phr - �17phr

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all stock requisition notes are checked and signed before cutting/machining.
• Read and interpret CAD drawings and production specifications.
• Programme and set CNC milling machines using FANUC control systems on 3-Axis or 5-Axis machinery.
• Use ALPHA CAM software to programme and draw.
• Work proficiently with CAD/CAM packages and convert files from DXF, DWG, and STP to produce drawings from customer descriptions/sketches.
• Optimise tool speeds and feeds to maintain high manufacturing demands while holding required tolerances and maximising tool life.
• Inspect and verify parts using precision gauges.
• Operate CNC milling machines to produce finished/part-finished items within specified tolerances and timeframes.
• Ensure production quality and output levels are optimised at all times.
• Sign off works orders upon completion and update the internal computer software ('Booking Point').

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in setting and operating a 3 or 5-Axis milling machine with FANUC controls.
• Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software, preferably ALPHA CAM is desirable.
• Any apprenticeship or formal training in Mechanical/Production Engineering or the Woodworking industry would be advantageous.
