CNC Operator

CNC Operator required for our client based in Southend.

The role requires you to manufacture a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings with precision on horizontal and vertical machining centres.

Pay:  £12.44 per hour

Hours: Mon – Fri 39 hours

Type: Temporary for 8 weeks

Location: Southend

Duties: (Not limited to)

• Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check small-batch components post-manufacture.


• Complete all tasks assigned by the Supervisor in a timely and efficient manner.


• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.


• Support team members with additional tasks as needed.


• Help create and maintain a safe working environment by following Health & Safety procedures.


• Perform final drilling of machined components from engineering drawings with precision.


• Deburr and pack machined components.


• Perform other reasonable and relevant tasks within any manufacturing area, including Assembly, Machine Shop, and Fabrication.

Skills/Experience:

•  Previous CNC experience in the Aviation and/or Automotive industry is preferred.


• Ability to read engineering drawings in both metric and Imperial units and use measuring equipment.


• Computer literate and methodical.


• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.


• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
